The Gear You Need To Explore Gwaii Haanas

With more than two decades of experience in Gwaii Haanas, we have learned exactly what kind of gear works - and what doesn't - when paddling or boating in the area. We have an online store here as well as a small store at our office where we stock some of the essentials, including selections from the following brands:

• Assorted kayak safety gear and accessories.

If you need something specific for your trip that you want to buy in person, please call in advance to ensure we have it in stock. We are happy to hold items so that you don't miss out.

We are also a retailer for Seaward Kayaks. With a wide variety of kayaks, from clear-bottomed day boats to giant expedition doubles, Seaward has something for everyone. Seaward kayaks are all handcrafted in B.C. out of high-quality materials and components. We use these boats in our rental fleet and usually have some used kayaks in stock. We can also order anything on the Seaward website. Kayaks ‘Built To Order’ do take some time to make, so be sure to order new boats several months in advance of a planned trip!
